ROOTS Young Adult Shelter is hiring work study candidates for our Development and Overnight Shelter teams! ROOTS is located in the University District, Seattle. With 45 beds, ROOTS is the largest shelter in Washington for young adults experiencing homelessness. We work with young adults, 18-25 years old, 365 days a year.
We are seeking work study candidates for the position of Overnight Staff. This position entails ensuring the smooth functioning of our overnight program by training and supporting overnight volunteers, as well as assisting the Program Managers and Overnight Counselor with conflict de-escalation and general overnight and morning shelter operations. This part-time position includes one or two 12 hour overnight shifts per week at $15/hour.
We are also seeking dynamic and organized work study candidates to join our Development team. Reporting to and working closely with the Development Manager, the Development Work Study is a data heavy position with responsibilities across a wide range of fundraising, relationship building, marketing, communications, and management activities. The position is part-time, max 19 hrs/week, at $15/hour.
