Environmental Career Opportunities – Fund for the Public Interest

Fund for the Public Interest is hiring for the next class of Canvass Directors to run our campaign offices. Students who are interested in starting their environmental advocacy career with us should apply. We’re running campaigns to stop rollbacks on environmental protections just this month a member of congress drafted legislation to abolish the EPA. Fund Directors can make a big impact on our campaigns. See three reasons below!

1. Make a difference.
The Fund has a proud track record of passing legislation to restore protections to over 2 million miles of rivers and streams across the country. This victory protected the drinking water for 1.7 million Americans. We delivered over 825,000 petitions to the EPA.

2. Work on pressing environmental issues.
Our Canvass Directors are running offices nationwide to stop rollbacks on critical environmental protections. There is a lot happening in DC right now that is putting our environment at risk. We’re running a campaign with Environment America to urge our senators to stand up for the places we love and the health of the American people.

3. You’ll learn to build a team.
As a Canvass Director, your job is to build a team of committed activists who mobilize thousands of citizens to take action. You give leading groups the people power they need to win. Directors are staff managers so you’ll identify strong staff, teach them leadership skills, and promote from within.
