Sydney Solis hails from Olympia, Washington and is passionate about food systems and sustainable development. She is intrigued by food’s complex role in communities, culture, and the environment, and is particularly interested in encouraging a deeper awareness of the origins and impacts of the foods we consume. Sydney can often be found cooking in her tiny apartment kitchen, escaping city life for a few hours by volunteering on the UW Farm, wandering Seattle on bike or foot (most likely with coffee in hand), or reading about anything and everything.
