Ryan Barbee
Ryan is from Portland, Oregon and has been excited about joining the CEP program since before she applied to the UW. She is excited to be apart of a major that is a small community of like minded people, and wants to focus on community engagement and education. Ryan is double majoring in Education, Communities and Organizations (ECO) in the College of Education, and hopes to tie this in with CEP to help promote a sense of community in educational structures. She does not have a specific career in mind, but after college Ryan is excited to have a broad range of knowledge that can help her obtain a variety of different careers in the future. Ryan is also a member of the Husky Ski Team, where she competes in slalom and giant slalom downhill ski racing, and has a love for the mountains and outdoors. She wants to stay in the Pacific Northwest, but hopes to study abroad in Europe and travel throughout her life.
