Ian Rose is a Junior in the CEP program, focusing on biophilic and sustainable urban design, technology integration, and personal mobility solutions, as well as pursuing minors in urban ecological design, urban design and planning, and geography. Inspired by the natural environment of the Pacific Northwest, a preserved childhood love for Lego, Italian and Danish modern architecture movements, and explorations of the built environment in England, Portugal, Nicaragua, and Copenhagen, he hopes to merge modern design and technology with biomimicry to produce proactive urban solutions that will stand the tests of time and seamlessly merge the built environment with the worlds ecosystems. Beyond academia, Ian works as the project developer for the Campus Sustainability Fund, advancing student-led projects in the UW community.
