Christopher Campbell began teaching in CEP in 2000 and become Director in the Spring of 2010. Christopher is also the Chair of the Department of Urban Design and Planning. He holds a Ph.D in Sociology from UCLA and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in General Studies. His research focuses on community and place-making at different scales and in different settings. He is particularly interested in the social aspects of place-making and the intersection of design, social behavior, and culture. Read more about his work.
