Pronouns: she/her/hers

Hometown: Issaquah, WA

Focus: Urban Planning and Ecological Design
Bio: I am currently a junior at the University of Washington, and I’m originally from Issaquah, Washington, a town just 20 minutes east of Seattle. From the beginning of college I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do or the path I wanted to take, but slowly over the past view years I’ve been discovering myself and who I want to become for the rest of my life, as well as what I want to do for my future. This has been through surrounding myself with people who make me a better person, and getting rid of all of the negative things in my life while trying to do what makes me happy. CEP has been very important for me in helping me find happiness in my life, but outside of my major I am very passionate about baking, running, painting, snowboarding, and spending time with my family and friends.

Favorite Place in Seattle: Salt & Straw on Capitol Hill and Pike Place

Why did you choose CEP? I joined CEP because I wanted to be a part of a community and surround myself with others that share similar interests. From the moment I learned about CEP I knew that’s what I wanted to be a part of, because of the fact that it is an interdisciplinary major, allowing me to choose my own focus and path. I’m also able to meet new people and create connections that I wouldn’t have been able to make otherwise. I also am very passionate about sustainable planning, and I figured CEP would get me one step closer to what I want to do after college. CEP is also a major that will set you up for what it’s like being in the real world, providing you with hard and soft skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate with one another. I’m so glad I joined CEP because I am surrounded by people who have my best interest in mind and will always support one another.
